Daniel R. West, DMD
Dr. Daniel West was born and raised in Orangeburg, SC, and is excited to be back home serving his community. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Wofford College before graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in 2012. Dr. West attends monthly continuing education meetings as well as national conferences 2-3 times a year, studying topics such as implants and cosmetic dentistry. He has also completed a Synergy Training Program at the Institute for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry.
Our dentist is a member of the America Dental Association®, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and South Carolina Academy of Advanced Implant Studies. Dr. West is also a past President and current Vice President of the Edisto Dental Society. He has received awards from the Academy of General Dentistry, Excellence in Prosthodontics, and has been inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society.
Dr. West seeks to treat his patients just like he would his own family. By staying up to date with all recent dental advancements, he provides comprehensive care to the entire family, placing an emphasis on building relationships with his patients. In his spare time, Dr. West enjoys staying active by running, biking, paddleboarding, golfing and spending time at the gym. Dr. West is also active in his community, coaching youth sports and attending the Cornerstone Church.
